As many of you had seen in the news before about Xbox's Phil Spencer, wanting to have a "Netflix for Games". It would seem that is what spawned the creation of Xbox Game Pass, a subscription based program in which for the price of $10 ($9.99 if you want to be "technical") you have access to a rotating roster of games, which currently has started at 100. There was a beta given to those who joined the Insider Program but it was vastly limited to what was projected to be released once the program went live. Well, as of yesterday, May 24, 2017, Xbox Game Pass is live for Gold Membership owners. The "Full Live" version is set to release on June 1st. So if you're curious to see what's in the library of games for Xbox Game Pass, they're offering a 14-day trial to download and play whatever games are within the library, as well as benefit from the discounted purchases on both games and add-ons. So Xbox players, rejoice, and go check it out...
NBA Playgrounds: Review

Saber Interactive's indie basketball game, NBA Playgrounds is the most recent basketball game to come out that has shied away from the traditional simulator such as 2k or Live for that sorely missed arcade flair of NBA Jams. Touting the signature 2v2 match up and a splash of NBA Streets, Playgrounds is a breathe of fresh air, but sometimes even the air can be a little bit stale. NBA Playgrounds has been stated to be somewhat of a spiritual successor of sorts to the aforementioned games, NBA Jams and NBA Streets. Playgrounds does bring back the caricature-esque NBA superstars with their own unique art style to further embrace the arcade-y feel. Overall the game can be fun, shooting, stealing, shoving, and dunking as you aim to fill up your Lottery Bar to get one 6 possible power-ups to help shift the game in your favor. Yet even with those elements done quite well, some decent music, the lack of hype the announcers in Playgrounds makes the game feel a bit disjointed...

Before the dismantling begins, it is understood that this is Pre-Alpha Gameplay. If you'd like to see the video for yourself, the "IGN First" video is linked down below. So with that out the way, let's talk about what was observed in the game, shall we? Well for starters Fury looks good (though we mostly see her from the back). Her character model has a nice athletic build, her flowing vibrantly red hair, and very conservative looking outfit tied her together nicely. Despite her looking nice, her animations in terms of combat movement seemed a bit annoying, especially her dodging. Side dodges has Fury doing a flashy mid-air cartwheel. which in combat a simple juke would seem to be more fitting especially being that it seems quite slow when she goes into the animation. Her back dodge is fine, though that also seems to be a bit slow too. So here's to hoping that they either simplify her dodges or perhaps make them faster, being that this is an action game ...

Do you enjoy Respawn's Mecha-based FPS, Titanfall? You do? Good! What about mobile games? Yes!? Alright. Would you be happy if they were both together? You would!? Great. Well then, excited mobile gamer, Respawn has announced that they shall be bringing Titanfall to the pockets of both Andriod and iOS users. With Nexon publishing and Particle City developing, Titanfall: Assault (that's the name of the game) sounds to be a promising title. It shall keep it's PvP-centric roots, but rather than run-and-gun, Assault is an RTS, with objective based matches. The game will have a card system in which players will build decks of Titanfall's key gameplay elements, Pilots, Titans, and burn cards. So there will most likely be a decent amount of depth and preparation required to be successful in this game. Currently, there's no information on whether or not this will be a paid title or a free-to-play title. Let's see how this one fairs as it was reported that t...

So have you been wanting to play Overwatch, but you just never seem to be able to snag it? Perhaps you have been waiting for it to go on sale more often, but can never seem to catch it? Well if that's that's the case, rejoice, as Hi-Rez Studios (the developers behind the popular MOBA, Smite) has released Paladins into Open Beta. Paladins has been around a tad bit longer in time than Overwatch, but Paladins had a bit of an identity crisis in the beginning of development and implementation, which forced them to have to delay release and kept it under the Closed Beta moniker for safety as they fleshed things out. Though it's been in Open Beta for PC/Mac for a fair amount of time, May 3, 2017 marks the day that Hi-Rez released Paladins to the masses on both the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Whether you're looking for another team based game to play with friends, another game to compete in (there's a good following on the eSport circuit), or perhaps looking for a f...
